So right this second I closed that last page off and I’m sitting here flabbergasted, reeling, gob smacked, running over everything I just read, trying to make sense of it, twists and turns that had me spinning like a spinning wheel out of control, such a unique, suspenseful, things are not so black and white as they may seem, a nail biting read that has me wanting, needing, craving, stalking the next book in this series.

BORN, DARKLY: Is he first book within the (Darkly, Madly Duet #1) series by Trisha Wolfe.

Starting this I really had no idea what I was getting myself into, straight away your immersed into a courtroom setting that set the pace of this outstanding novel that had me gobsmacked from start to finish.

In this we meet London Noble, one of the top psychologists of criminal psychology in her field
and Grayson Pierce Sullivan (inmate number six, one, four) a convicted killer (the Angel of Maine) that London is psych analysing his disturbed clinical behaviours. He kills ruthlessly without remorse or mercy. He’s highly intelligent, with an IQ of 152.

London’s waited for a chance like this to fall into her lap, to delve deep into the mind of Grayson. Grayson is a serial killer who does not repent he thinks he’s doing the world a favour by killing undesirables that have sick tendencies that the justice system would fail to convict. He’s their judge and jury and has no qualms and coming up with sick ways of killing them. In Born, Darkly I saw glimpses of the movie saw, the dark, gritty ways to kill and maim victims.

But what happens when London falls for Grayson? Their story is not an easy story to read, it’s dark, gritty, and sick but like a train wreck you can’t help but look at the destruction left behind, I feel like I’ve been put through the wringer, my mind is a jumbled mess for loving this as much as I did.

If I was a praying person I would ask god to forgive me for loving this book so much!!

Ours is not a love story. Ours comes with a warning. And it's not over yet.
