The story starts off with Felix finally being released from his stint in prison, whilst incarcerated the only ones who visited him were his brother and Sam, leaving a big gap where his Doe should’ve been. He’s not seen or heard from her in months, or even seen his son.
But he’s not ready to let her go so easily.
Then the story jumps back into the past, back to where it all began, back to when they first met, back to when it all started falling down around their ears like a domino effect.
Maggie comes from a blue collar hard working family, attends school and is a straight laced student, until she decides to follow her bestie to a party, not just any party, but a party being held on the other side of town. It’s here where she meets Felix, the hot bad boy. Things escalate quickly with these two, a whirlwind romance that quickly turns to an undeniable soul mate kind of love that bounces off the pages into your heart.
Things were going so well for them, they were saving for their own home, both hard working, until a tragedy turned their worlds upside down and Felix changed in the blink of an eye, Maggie was put on the back burner whilst he spiralled out of control drinking and partying all hours of the night.

He may have made us fall apart, but without meaning to, I scattered our broken pieces.
But slowly rising up from the ashes of a broken relationship these two realise that what they had was a once in a lifetime love.
This book was one of my most highly anticipated books that I wanted to get my grabby little hands on and Ella Fields did not disappoint, second chance romances are my kryptonite, done right they are my biggest weakness and Ella did this perfectly, the angst, heart break, forgiveness swept me up in the pages of the highs and lows of Maggie's and Felix's love from their break up to their make up.
